Medical Equipment Loan Closet

Purchasing or renting medical equipment can be costly, for anyone who needs it. This is true especially if you need the equipment for an extended period of time or your insurance coverage does not include the cost of the equipment.

As a free service to people living in our ambulance district, HFMVA maintains a number of types of medical devices including canes, crutches, walkers, and wheelchairs.  These pieces of medical equipment are made available to you on loan, free of charge, upon request.  All we ask is that you return the equipment in good condition when you no longer need it.

We do not provide motorized equipment or personal care equipment such as bathroom equipment.

The equipment that we loan to you comes to us as a donation from your neighbors.  In essence, it is neighbor-helping-neighbor and we facilitate the process.

If the equipment comes to us with minor blemishes, our volunteers refurbish the equipment, before loaning it out to you.

As HFMVA is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, your donation of medical equipment to us may provide a tax deduction.  Consult with a tax advisor to determine the deductibility of any donation that you plan to make as HFMVA cannot provide tax advice.

Please don't hesitate to contact us if you have questions about the equipment that we have for loan, would like to donate equipment, or need an equipment loan.

We are located at 210 East Street, Honeoye Falls, NY 14472 for equipment pick-up.
